Capture the Date

I have finally been able to sit down and play with the November Stamp of the Month, Capture the Date.  This stamp set was a bit of a challenge for me to work it into a scrapbook layout but the boxes and gift card holder was super easy to come up with.

The gift card holder is made from a 6x6 Kraft envelope, chocolate ribbon, and some irresistible from Close to My Heart.  It was designed for my niece and her birthday next year.  The boxes were designed to hold special treats.  I used the Artiste Cricut cartridge from Close to My Heart for both of them.  The scrapbook layout features the Flirty paper pack and photos from convention in 2011 in Disneyland, California.

So what do you think think of these projects and the stamp of the month.  When you purchase this set for $5 with a $50 order, you will be eligible for a half off stamp set and $1 of the purchase will go to help the Hurricane Sandy relief fund.

hugs, Holly

It's Your Day!!!

Last month I made this card for my Principal for Bosses Day.  I used Dakota paper, Indian Corn Blue ink, and a variety of stamps to get this looking just the way I wanted.  He loved his card and felt very special that it was a handmade gift.

What do you think of it?  If you like this card, then you should join me for the card classes that are taught at the Allen Park Biggby Coffee shop on the first Thursday's of the month.  Stop by the shop to see the latest designs.

Crop till you Drop

Yesterday was such a wonderful day!  The weather was great for November and I got to see 8 lovely ladies for 8 fabulous hours.  We  had sooooo much stinkin' fun!

Barb, Denise, Sue, Lia, MaryLynn (top row)
Me, Patti, Linda, and Lisa (bottom row)

The ladies learned how to Rock and Roll Stamp and Mirror Image Stamp as their two techniques for our class.

The stamp fairy arrived three times during the day.  She loves spoiling the ladies!!!  The first gift was waiting patiently for each lady to arrive.  It was a notepad refrigerator magnet.

The next gift arrived around dinnertime.  She delivered a little bag with a special relaxing treat inside.  Inside was 2 Chamomile teas with mint balls.  Make a relaxing cup of tea and drop one mint ball into the hot water.  Then sit back and sip a cup of peace.

The final gift arrived later in the evening.  This is always the super special treat.  Inside the box was either a baby stamp set or a package of embellishments.  The ladies loved their gifts!

Everyone was very busy getting their projects done.  Some ladies completed 70 Christmas cards, 10 Thanksgiving cards, 50 holiday kids treats, and too many scrapbook pages to count!

Our next 8 hour crops are scheduled for January 19, 2013 and January 26, 2013.  If you are interested in joining in on the fun, don't delay, space fills up quickly.
