Friendship Bouquet!!!

With May just around the corner, I have been thinking about what type of flowers I will plant in my flowerbeds and pots.  My mom and I have a tradition that we go shopping over Memorial Day weekend to get our flats of flowers.  Of course, my mom know exactly what types and how many she needs.  I walk the nursery looking at everything because I always want something different than the year before.  The big question will have to be answered in just a few weeks.

While thinking about flowers, I decided to play with the new stamp of the month for May.  I love sunflowers but they won't grow in my garden successfully.  But if I plant them on my paper, I can watch them grow into beautiful projects.  These sunflowers are just so gorgeous!  The technique I used to color them is to use a finger dauber to color in the flowers.  I started with buttercup (a nice light color).  Then I added sunflower to the center of each.  What do you think of them?

Emily's jumpstart art...

Last night Emily, one of my new downline, had her jumpstart party.  The jumpstart is an important part of starting her Close to My Heart business.  She did an "Amazing" job presenting the Idea Book and creating 2 fabulous cards.  Her friends and family were there to support her in many ways.

The 2 cards used parts from the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, Cruisin' paper and stamp from the Workshop on the Go, Dotty for You paper and Just for you stamp set.

What do you think of her cards?  We could make them at your next gathering.  Remember you can get Dotty for You till May 31st.  Don't delay, get yours today!!!

Dotty for You meets You Are...

The Dotty for You special that starts today is Rockin' AWESOME!!!!  This paper is so fun to work with for both cards and scrapbook layouts.  I haven't played with it on anything else yet.  But I decided to use the Dotty for You paper and the April "You Are..." stamp of the month together.
My layout used pictures from last year's convention in Disneyland.  I used the words "Fun, Amazing, Cool, and Original" as my journal tags.  Then I moved to some cards.  One of the cards is the clear cards from Close to My Heart.  Yep, you do see a pink doily on the lagoon polka-dot paper, and bakers twine along with a corrugated star with silver glitz on it on the yellow striped card.
This paper is so much fun to work with.  What will you create with yours?  Call or email me to find out how to get your pack.

Releasing the project finally...

Today was Lynn's wedding shower.  It was beautiful!  I was finally able to give her my gift that I made.  I think Lynn truly loved it.  Even the guests and my aunt loved the gifts.  I can finally reveal my projects that I have been working for the past few months.  I hope you like them too.

**warning there will be a ton of photos to follow showing my gift...

50 Thank you note card stationary with matching envelopes.  The colors are Petal, Pear, Smoothie, Cotton Candy, Spring Iris.  The "thank you" sentiment is stamped in Cocoa.  Both stamps I used are retired.

This is a retired Memory Keepers Box.  I used Roxie paper, Chocolate Small alphabet, cocoa ink, and the black pearls.

This is a 9 x9 accordion album cover.  These are currently on sale in the "While Supplies Last" on my website.
I used Roxie paper, Roxie My Stickease, Chocolate Small alphabet, cocoa ink and the black pearls through-out the book.

This is the first 2 pages.  On the colonial white cardstock parts, Lynn will add her photos.

The next 2 pages of the book.  On the right side, I created a pocket so she can tuck her invitations and other keepsakes.

The next 2 pages.  I did do some simple stamping using the Roxie workshop on the go stamp and tulip ink.

This is the back of the book.  She will be able to add 3 more photos to this page.  On some of the pages you will see stardust glitz sprinkled here and there.  The book fits nicely into the box.

What do you think of her gift?  I am very happy with how it turned out.  Everyone should have something pretty to showcase the important times in our lives.

Hugs, Holly
