Favorite tools

 Do you have a favorite papercrafting tool?  I have a few that are my favorites!

1. A good paper trimmer-SureCut Deluxe Craft Paper Trimmer by Fiskars-totally rocks!  This cutter has a wider front base and a swing arm for more measurements up to 15 inches.  It is lightweight, portable, and easy to read.

2. Micro-tip non-stick scissors-these scissors from Close to My Heart are fabulous!  You can cut ribbon or paper after cutting something sticky and have NO problems.  Love them!

3. Foam tape from Close to My Heart is awesome!  It comes in 2 different widths in one package.  I am able to add dimension to any project with no worries.

4. Adhesive-I am switching over from Tombow to 3L E-Z dots adhesive.  You get more on the roll and it is easier to roll onto my projects.

5. Versa Mat from Close to My Heart is amazing!  It helps line up a true 12x12 layout and get perfect paper placement every time.

Love on Target

  Have you seen the new stamp of the month for January yet?  Oh boy, I am loving it!  It has a great target, adorable arrows, and fabulous words.       I would love to wish all of you a very Happy New Year!  2015 is going to be incredible!!!

Have you set your New Year's resolutions yet? What will you be doing in 2015?  I am going to post mine here so everyone will help keep me accountable.
1. Continue to follow my Weight Watchers plan.  I have slipped a little and need to get back on track.
2. Post here 2 times a month or more.  I have not posted regularly and I feel so bad about that.
3. Make 3-6 videos this year.  I know we all learn better when we see how to do something.
4. Scrapbook for myself.  I have a freshman this year and his graduation will be here before I know it.      I want to be on top of it with no stress.

Is the snow going to come?

The snow is not flying in Michigan yet, but Snowhaven paper pack is has such a flurry about it in my heart.  This pack is perfect for Wintery themed layouts.  I will be teaching this kit on Thursday, January 22 at the Allen Park Biggby.  If you are interested in joining me for class, please know that you must be signed up and prepaid by Monday,  January 5th.  I need time to order your kit from Utah and then cut the parts once it arrives at my house.

It is beginning to look like Christmas

     Well, Thanksgiving will be here in just a few days.  I hope you will enjoy your time with your family and friends.  During this time I usually start decorating my house for the Christmas season.  This year I am already all done with my tree and the inside of the house.  Next I will work on my cards and present finding.  What will you do this Thanksgiving weekend?  The next few pictures are my tree, December Biggby scrapbook class, December Biggby card class, an example of December stamp of the month, and a sneak peek of January Biggby scrapbook class.  I hope you enjoy them.  If you have any questions email or call me.
   

I'm back....

     So sorry, I have been missing for the last few months.  Let's try to get back into the swing of things.  There has been so much going on here at home.  Nate has started high school, Matt is back to hunting, and I am just trying to stay afloat.
    Biggby classes are really taking off.  If you haven't tried one, you need too.  Card class is the first Thursday of the month and we make 2 cards around a theme for the month.  Our next class will be on November 6 and we will be making Christmas cards.

         Biggby scrapbook classes are making a bit of a change.  We meet on the third Thursday of the month.  Our class has made a change.  Instead of themes we are going to be working with a paper pack a month...kit of the month. You must be signed up by the beginning go the month.  This way I can order your kit and cut your paper for the project.  I will not be ordering any extra kits.  In each class we will be making 2 layouts now.  The first layout will be detailed and the second one will be simpler.  You still have the choice of basic or bling.  The Halloween class on October 16 is sold out.  The next class we will feature Pathfinding paper.  Class is on November 20th and must be prepaid and registered by November 3rd.  The photo is do the main layout and is blinged.

Great things are right around the corner...

There are so many amazing things coming right around the corner for you in the month of August!  There is a new idea book lanching on August 1st., some great classes at Biggby on August 4th. and 21st., great opportunities for you to get your copy of the new idea book and order some of the fabulous new products on August 9th and 10th.  Today I will share with you a peek at the August Biggby classes and the cover of the new Annual Inspirations Idea Book.  Let me know what you think of them.

The Circus has come into town...

     During the month of July, you can get your hands on an awesome alphabet set.  The set is filled with upper case, lower case, numbers, and punctuation marks.  You can either purchase it for $17.95 or get it for $5.00 with a $50.00 order.  Remember get some of the retiring items or some of the great other goodies that will have a price increase in August.

Home from Convention...so much coming!!!

 

I am home from convention in sunny California. It was amazing! Close to My Heart really spoiled us while we were at Disneyland. We had business classes, creative sessions, contests, dinners, and a 5K threw California Adventure park. I only got to see one character...Goofy. If you have ever thought about becoming a consultant, now is a perfect time. Close to My Heart has 2 different kits: scrapbooker kit and cardmaker kit. Each are a great start for you to begin your business.
