Scholatic card

   While I was designing my card for the unit swap, I was drawn to one of the new papers, called Scholastic.  This paper pack is perfect for back to school layouts and other school related scrapbooking needs.  Then I looked through the new stamp sets I had gotten, only to decide on one that coordinates with the new Artiste Cricut cartridge.  I absolutely loved the pinwheel stamp! By using the Scholastic paper, I was able to use some of the new colors: cashmere, champaigne, and ruby for paper and ink.  I totally love the new ink colors.  They are very rich in color!

Moonlight card

    Today I will begin sharing new products and samples.  The card today features the paper from the Moonlight collection.  The stamp set is in the Moonlight Workshop on the Go kit.  The inks used are black, slate, whisper and smokey plum.  I even used a the new glitter marker in silver to add a little to the spider's silk thread coming down.

Glad to be home!!!

  Now that my vacationing is over, it is time to get started crafting with all of my new Close to My Heart products.

 Some many great projects to make...where should I start.  I think I will work on the 2 new card workshop on the go kits first.  They are absolutely beautiful!  Then maybe I will work on designing the Open House craft and some cute Cricut boxes for give aways.  Of course, I need to finish my 3 rounds of card swaps, since they are due at the end of the month.  As I get things done I will post pictures.  I may even post a tutorial or two.

August's Classes at biggby

   Can you believe that August is almost here.  Have you joined me for class yet?  If you haven't I would love for you to come to either card class or scrapbook class at Biggby or both classes.  We have a great time when we are together.

  Card Class is super fun.  Our next class will be on Thursday, August 9th. at 6:30pm until 8:30pm unless we finish earlier.  You can sign up at the Allen Park Biggby shop and prepay $5 for class.
The theme for August is "Moving/New House" cards.

Supplies you will need to bring to class are: scissors, adhesive, foam tape, glue dots, and bone folder

Extra supplies if you have, please bring these to class also:

Stamps: Around the Block, Neighborhood

Inks: Barn Red, Sky, Chocolate, Bamboo, Garnet, New England Ivy, Indian Corn Blue

Markers: Sunkiss yellow, Barn red, Tulip, Bamboo, Sweet leaf, Olive

Blocks: 1x1, 1x1.5, 1x3.5, 2x2, 2x3.5, 3x3, 4x5

  Scrapbook class is mega awesome!  We will be meeting on Thursday, August 16 at 6:30 pm until 8:30pm unless we finish earlier.  During this class we usually place Close to My Heart orders.  You can sign up at the Allen Park Biggby shop.  Class fee is $10.00 for the basic layout or $17.00 for the bling kit. 

*Bling kit must be prepaid by August 3rd. so I can order your ribbon.  If you could email me that you are interested in the bling kit that will help.

New Consultant Kit

   Close to My Heart has announced two great ways to join the company.  You can sign up for just $49 and get the Essentials or for $99 you will get the Master kit.  What a great opportunity to join this amazing company!!!!  Then next year you can join me at convention...don't know where it will be yet.

News from Convention

  Many ladies are at convention as we speak.  The news has been coming in through Twitter, Facebook, text messages, and other means.  I can't believe I am not there to hear it all first hand.  Everything is sounding so amazing...

  There will be some great things to find in the new Fall/Winter Idea book...August 1st. is the first day you can order from it.  All I can say is get ready to have some fun!!!!!!!

   I will give you some hints of what you might find in the book.

1. New something for a die cutting machine...hint think of a small green bug that chirps.
2. New something to color with and stamp with...new sizes, shapes, textures, and colors.
3. New 13 Workshop on the Go kits...8 scrapbooking, 2 cardmaking, 2 home decor, and one mystery.
4. New 53 accessories...hint maybe something cute to carry them in.
5. New "learning tool" that is designed by Jeanette herself.
6. New improvements to Studio J...lower price, no longer need to be a member to get the goodies.

Carrying Tray

    Last week, when I was cleaning out my closet, I came across a white tray.  I thought I better use it or throw it away.  It has been sitting in the closet for the past 3 years.  So I sat at my craft table and worked on it.  I used Stella paper, paper flowers, and a family photo from our trip to California.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  Please comment  with what you think.

July Stamp of the Month

    The July stamp of the month is awesome!!!!  It has lots of great word phrases that can express your excitement.  It is perfect for both girls and boys.  You will see that I used them on some cards and a scrapbook layout.  The cards are super cute!  The scrapbook layout has pictures from our California trip last summer.    What do you think of the projects that use "Live Out Loud" stamp set.
