Sorry....been missing

I'm sorry I have been missing for so long.  The day to day life of a teacher, wife, mom, and crafter  has gotten in my way of blogging.  So much to tell you and so little time to do so.

Well, convention is over but it was in Utah back in June.  We got a tour of the home office, saw Jeanette, learned a ton of great information, and created some amazing artwork.  There may be a drawing coming in August for some of the layouts we did at convention.  While there, all of the consultant present raised over $44,000 for Operation Smile.  We held an auction of artwork, had a chance to purchase a special bracelet, and some of us did the 5K at the Capitol of Utah.  Pretty amazing what a group of ladies can do!!!!!

Now that I am home, and new product is coming in daily, classes are being designed for City Coffeehouse monthly card and scrap class.  Watch Facebook for up to date class information.  Here are the August classes that are coming to City Coffeehouse...

I would love for you to join us for class.  Card class is unless on the first Thursday of the month but due to the Allen Park Street that week, class is moved to the second Thursday.  Call me if you are interested in class.  Scrapbook class is on the third Thursday of the month.  For scrapbook class you need to be registered and prepaid, so I have the time to get the products from Close to My Heart in Utah and cut the projects for you.  Email me if you have any questions.

Home from Convention

  Convention is always a highlight in the summer for me.  It is a time for me have a little vacation with friends, get inspired with artwork, and to reconnect with the Home Office from Close to My Heart.  This year's convention was out of this world!!!  Have you ever thought of joining Close to My Heart...let me just say...Do It!  It was one of the best decisions I made 7 years ago.

Home from Convention...so much coming!!!

 

I am home from convention in sunny California. It was amazing! Close to My Heart really spoiled us while we were at Disneyland. We had business classes, creative sessions, contests, dinners, and a 5K threw California Adventure park. I only got to see one character...Goofy. If you have ever thought about becoming a consultant, now is a perfect time. Close to My Heart has 2 different kits: scrapbooker kit and cardmaker kit. Each are a great start for you to begin your business.

Artwork from Convention 2013

       Now that I have been home for a few weeks, I have finally gotten all of my convention projects put  away.  Before they were put away I thought I would take some pictures of them.  On Thursday we created a mini album from the new Artbooking Cricut Cartridge (I forgot to photography this but I will and will post later).  On Saturday morning we created 10 spinning cards and a beautiful fabric necklace.  Later on Saturday evening, Close to My Heart hosted a crop for all of us.  During this time we created 2 special layouts using paper and a stamp set that are designed just for convention.  These layout are bold and fun!!!

Convention projects and pictures

I thought I would share some more pictures with you from convention, since I took about 600.  My husband would say this is crazy but I think he took more than me for the 4 days that him and Nathan were there with me.  The first four days in sunny California was my family vacation.  We did Disneyland, Legoland, California Adventure, and shopping in Downtown Disney.  Then on Tuesday my family went home and I just relaxed by the pool.  I know rough life!  Wednesday-Saturday was convention :)  Super fun times with my friends and my CTMH sisters!!!!!  Corporate really knows how to through a great party for us.

This trip was amazing.  If you have ever thought about becoming a consultant, now is the time.  Corporate has brought back the $99 kit.  It is beautiful and awesome.  Plus as a special bonus they are coming to Michigan in October for a Regional Celebration.  I would love to share my experiences with you.  Contact me for more information. 

Team Surprise Pins

This year I thought I would make a special pins for each lady that was going to Convention.  So I thought and planned and designed for a while for the perfect pin that would be pink and would represent Disney.  I decided to use the backside of  Sweetheart B&T.  The Minnie Mouse ears are made with circle stamps from various stamp sets.  The ink colors are black and cotton candy.  Of course I needed to add some bling, so I used glitz to add the sparkle in the crown.  I hope you and my team like it.  I even made one for Jeanette Lynton.

Convention Swap #2

Swapping at convention is huge!!!!  Some ladies make 300 of one card.  I know I am more realistic.  I made 25 of card #1.  Then I decided I have time I can make something else.  So I made a corner bookmark.  I made 25 of this.  I used Fanfare paper, the July stamp of the month, some foam tape, and a little bit of glitz.

Once I get home from convention I will put up a tutorial on how easy it is to make these cute corner bookmarks.  What do you think of it?  Let me know!  We could make one at your home gathering :)

Convention Swap #1

Convention and Disneyland is getting closer and closer.  Today I am going to share with you one of my swaps that I made.  I made 25 of this card to trade with other consultants at convention later in July.  I used Sweetheart paper, Circle Together stamp set, the 2" scallop circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, and ink: gyspy and cotton candy, and  a scallop punch from fiskar's.  I hope other consultants like them and will want to trade with me!!!  Would you???

Roommate Gifts

I thought I would share with you over the next few days some of the pretty things I made for Convention. Today I am going to share with you my roommate gifts. Hopefully they won't be looking at my blog over the next 2 weeks. 

These started out as a wooden  board.  I covered each on front and back in different papers: Wings, Sweetheart, Mayberry, and Miracle.  Then I used my cricut to cut out the letters for the wording.  Lastly I made the scrabby chic flower.  I really like how these turned out.  I hope they do too!  What do you think???
