Cropping Goodies

       About a month ago, I hosted the last 8 hour crop for the season.  We had so much fun!!!  If you haven't tried these mini crops, you should.  You will get dinner made by me, 3 stamp fairy (handmade) gifts, 2 prizes, and you will learn some new techniques.  At the May crop the ladies recieved a package of bling brads, a box of chocolates, handmade card set,  and a cute petite perk stamp set.

During the day the ladies learned 2 new techniques.  I taught them how to use bubble wrap to create a background and how to make your own faux washi tape.  FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!

Maybe you should join me for the next one to kick off the new cropping session, on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 2:00-10:00.  The cost is $30.00 and space is limited to 8 ladies.

Beating the Winter Blues

     With the winter weather not really knowing what to do...snow, freezing temperatures, rain, sunny...I know what I can do.  CRAFTING is the answer.  Over the past 2 weekends I hosted the eight hour crops.  Everyone had a great time.  The Stamp Fairy made her appearance 3 times.  I even tried a new recipe for Cream of Broccoli soup.  The soup was yummy :)  Everyone had an amazing time!  The March dates are almost sold out.  If you are interested, call or email me the availability for the dates.

Crop till you Drop

     Yesterday was such a wonderful day!  The weather was great for November and I got to see 8 lovely ladies for 8 fabulous hours.  We  had sooooo much stinkin' fun!

The ladies learned how to Rock and Roll Stamp and Mirror Image Stamp as their two techniques for our class.

The stamp fairy arrived three times during the day.  She loves spoiling the ladies!!!  The first gift was waiting patiently for each lady to arrive.  It was a notepad refrigerator magnet.

The next gift arrived around dinnertime.  She delivered a little bag with a special relaxing treat inside.  Inside was 2 Chamomile teas with mint balls.  Make a relaxing cup of tea and drop one mint ball into the hot water.  Then sit back and sip a cup of peace.



The final gift arrived later in the evening.  This is always the super special treat.  Inside the box was either a baby stamp set or a package of embellishments.  The ladies loved their gifts!

Everyone was very busy getting their projects done.  Some ladies completed 70 Christmas cards, 10 Thanksgiving cards, 50 holiday kids treats, and too many scrapbook pages to count! 

Our next 8 hour crops are scheduled for January 19, 2013 and January 26, 2013.  If you are interested in joining in on the fun, don't delay, space fills up quickly.



Mini 8 Hour Crops are Back!!

   Yesterday was the first mini 8 hour crop for the new cropping season.  We will meet every other month (September-May), on a Saturday from 2:00-10:00 for fun, laughs, techniques, and some will actually get some papercrafting done.  If you are interested in finding out more information watch here or email me.

    I love these mini crops.  The time we spend together is more intimate and personal.  I have learned a great deal about each lady that attends the mini crops.  The day is all about having fun and being with each other.  It is limited to only 8 people since it is hosted in my home.  During our time together we kick it off with learning 2 new techniques.  We learned about Generation Stamping and the Grid Technique yesterday.
 

    During our day the "Stamp Fairy" delivers 3 gifts to each lady.  These gifts are hand made by the "Fairy" herself.  I think this is my favorite part of the day...the special surprises.  The gifts this time were a Liquid Glass holder, mini box with yummy chocolate, and a mini purse with a petite stamp set.  Through out the day the ladies recieved 2 prizes and at the end of our time together we had to lucky winners of bigger prizes.  Lori won a Dotty for You paper pack and Kathy won the Roxie Workshop on the Go kit.

   I believe the ladies had a great time!  I know I did :)  Our next mini crop will be on Saturday, November 10th.  There are only 4 spots that remain available.  Space sells out quickly so don't delay to get your nonrefundable deposit in if you are interested.

National Stamping Month/Open House

    School has started here.  My family has been back for 2 weeks now and I have been back just for meetings.  But while the family was gone and before I went back to work, I was busy playing with the National Stamping Month double "D" stamp set from Close to My Heart.  This set is super fun and super varied.  You can use it for so many projects.  The best part about it, is that it matches the Artiste Cricut cartridge.
    Today, I am going to share with you some artwork using the "It's Your Day" double D stamp set and some pictures from my open house that was last Sunday.  Giving you a warning that this post will be heavy in photos.  Tomorrow I will share with you some projects using the cute "Fall Favorites" stamp set.

Stamping Techniques

  While I was at consultant camp, the awesome team of consultants that hosted the weekend, taught us some fantastic stamping techniques.  There were 15 techniques we learned.  These were so much fun to learn.  If you would like me to teach you how to do some of them, please call or email me.

  Stay tuned to tomorrow...I am only going to share half of them today and half tomorrow.  I took photos of the instructions and a 3x3 sample of the technique.  After we were done, each of the techniques were put on a ring.

The stamp fairy has come again...

  Tomorrow with be the next mini 8 hour crop.  I am so excited for the ladies to come by and to send the day with them.  When I am preparing for the crop, I think about my ladies that are coming.  I think about the dinner, the technique class, prizes, and the stamp fairy presents.  I think the stamp fairy presents are my favorite part.  I keep them a secret until the day of the event.  Tonight I am going to slip you a peek of the presents.

The second thing that is my favorite item to create for the crops are the techniques for class.  There have been many techniques that we have learned over the years.  This crop I will be teaching "Thumping" and "Masking".  Two very cool techniques for both card makers and scrapbookers alike.

Mini 8 Hour Crop

   This past Saturday was the first new mini 8 hour crop.  It is a new way of how I will be doing the crops.  There have been some scheduling issues with my previous place, so I am going to give this a try.  Saturday was a super fun day!  The ladies said they felt they got more done and had more of my attention.  I will have to say I even enjoyed it :)

    The ladies arrived at 2:30 and the fun began at 3:00.  We had dinner around 6:15.  I made sloppy joes, cheesy potatoes, and a tossed salad.  During the evening the stamp fairy arrived 3 times  with presents and there were 2 little prizes also.  Later in the evening we had 2 bigger prizes for the ladies.

    Each lady worked on different projects.  Arleen worked on Christmas cards.  Lori worked on Halloween cards.  Mandi scrapbooked her trip to Portland, Oregon and her dogs.  Meghan scrapped pictures of her boyfriend and events from the past few months that they have done.  Sandy worked on scrapping pictures of her grandkids.  Teri continued to work on her scrapbook for a niece that just got married.  Patti worked on scrapping her grandsons.  Sue did some cards and then played with the cricut and made some pillow boxes for gift cards for the holidays.  I would say they were busy.

   The next crop will be on Saturday, November 12 at 2:00-10:00 pm.  The cost is $25.00.  This include your dinner.  A $10.00 deposit is required but is nonrefundable and nontransferable.  Your balance of $15.00 will be due by November 3, 2011.

   I hope you will give this new way of cropping with your friends a try.  Space is limited to only 8.  The November 12 date has only 7 spots remaining.  We will have a great time!!!!!!!!!!!
