Mini projects from consultant camp

  Today I am planning on sharing with you the mini projects we did at consultant camp.  These projects were surprises for us.  We didn't know that we would be making them.  Such a great surprise!!!!

Consultant Camp

   Last weekend I was away with some of my downline, Emily and Stephanie and a dear friend Cyndi.  We went to consultant camp in Okemos, Michigan.  This was a training camp put on by my upline, Dana and 4 other sister consultants, Sarah, Victoria, Michele, and Rebecca.  During camp we made 3 mini projects, 5 major workshop style projects, 15 stamping techniques,  business training classes, and games.  There was also lots of food, laughs, and friendships.

   When Emily, Stephanie and I left my van was packed to the gills with all of our much needs materials.  If we needed to put one more person in the van, I don't know where they would have sat.

    While at camp there were 60 consultants there working on all kinds of projects.  I primarily worked on the projects that were provided for me.  There were plenty and they were intense!  :)  I will post the projects in the upcoming days.  There are too many photos to put today.

Operation Smile

  
 I would like to thank everyone that has helped me to pay for one complete surgery through your generous donations to Operation Smile.  This charity is remarkable.  They do surgeries for children that have disfigurements to their face.  Just $240 pays for a complete surgery.  Close to My Heart, asks consultants to try to fundraise for Operation Smile each year.  They give us from June 1st to May 31st. of the next year to raise the money for a surgery.  This is the first time in my 4 years that I have met this goal.   My goal this year is to pay for 2 surgeries.  I have faith in all of you that we can do this again.

  Close to My Heart donates a percentage from each stamp set that is bought to Operation Smile.  This is a charity that is near and dear to Jeanette Lynton's heart.  It is easy for all of us to raise funds again.  When you place an order on the website or at a home gathering, simply roll up your total to the nearest dollar amount.  During this month's awesome campaign you can help me to start a new fundraising cycle.

Life is Tweet!

    This month's stamp set, Life is Tweet, is AMAZINGLY fun!!!!  The little birds and flowers are great.  The major bonus is that it works with the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge for 2 of the sayings.  I will totally want this set.

June Classes at Biggby

   The June classes at Biggby will be tons of fun!!!!  Have you ever joined us for card or scrapbook class?  If you haven't you need too.  The ladies are so much fun to be with and the you will leave with completed projects.

    Card class will be on Thursday, June 7th. at 6:30.  You can sign up until Monday, June 4th.  Please prepay for class when you sign up.  Supplies you will need to bring with you are: adhesive, foam tape, glue dots, sanding block, piercing tool/mat, bone folder,  and corner.

       On Thursday, June 21, at 6:30, we will meet for scrapbook class.  This month's theme is "You are a Star".  This page is perfect for graduation, sports, and school.  You can sign up at the store or contact me directly.  The basic kit is $10.00 and the bling kit is $15.00 (however you need to be registered and prepaid by Monday, June 4th for the bling kit.)

      Supplies you will need to bring with you to class are: adhesive, foam tape, glue dots, sponge or dauber, thin paint brush.  If you have create-a-shades paint, cocoa ink, creme brulee ink, desert sand ink, Token Alphabet, Typeset Workshop on the Go stamp set, 1 x1 block, 2 x 2 block, and 1 x 1.5 block.

What kind of French Fries go in this box?

     Next weekend, I will be attending Consultant Camp, with my upline Dana and other consultants.  We had the opportunity to sign up for a Cricut Swap, if we wanted to participate.  I thought, of course, I want to do this.  Then I had to get my wheels spinning to make something great and creative.  I let my imagination go wild on this project.

     I decided to make a french fry box from the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge.  Then I made 5 tags from different color card stock.  I used Smoothie, Lagoon, Pear, and Creme Brulee.  The tags were then tied together with bakers twine to make a mini album.  I stamped on the tags and used stardust glitz, clear sparkles, and knotted clear beads on the bakers twine.

Race for the Cure!!!!!!

   Last Saturday was the 21st. annual Race for the Cure.  We usually walk the race every year in honor or memory of family members who had breast cancer.  This year was a little more emotional.  It was my mom's first time walking as a survivor.  She has walked this race for her sister and grandmothers and cousins and friends but this was her first time in a pink shirt.  We were all choked up when she put on her pink shirt.  But the best part of the day was that SHE was THERE to celebrate being a survivor!!!!!

So the big message for today is to get checked out annually because we all have hope that there will be a cure soon.

Last Weekend was GREAT!!!!!

   Last Saturday was the last mini 8 hour crop for the season.  I will start them again in September.  These mini 8 hour crops are so much fun for the ladies because they get to get comfy in my home and get all of my attention.  The crops are fun for me because I get to work one on one with the ladies.  The mini crops are limited to 8 people.  During the day you receive 3 stamp fairy presents, 2 prizes, technique class, dinner, and a chance to win of the bigger prizes. 

  The stamp fairy delivered 3 cute gifts.  The first one was waiting for the guests to arrive.  I gave the second one around 4:00 and the last was given around 8:00.

Treat bag with plain and peanut M&M with some pretzel sticks.  Great mid-day snack.



Some of the ladies received the mini stamp set and a few received the mini medleys because they got their stamp set at the March mini crop.

          We started our day with a technique class.  I taught the ladies all about liquid glass and spotlight stamping.  Everyone loved  them!!!
