Fun and Friends

Today I met with my two newest members to join my team...Keep Those Scissors Flying team.  We got together to learn about how to place an order, the family website, their new websites and newsletters.  We shared some great laughs and plans for the future time when we are together.  I am already lovin' these to great consultants.

Busy making a team project
We also made a great project!  Our project was a post-it note acrylic frame holder.  Emily used Cruisin', Stephanie used Footloose, and I used Stella.  We also used the April stamp of the month.  Didn't they do a great job on their project?

Stephanie joined on March 16th and is already planning her first gathering.  I am sure it will be super success.

Emily joined on March 20th and has already made her first level of Straight to the top.  She earned $25 in free spending from Close to My Heart.

Again let me know if I can help you become a consultant, whether you just want the discount or you want to make some extra money for any reason.  I would love for you to be a part of my team!!!!!!!

CTMH Scrappin Ladies

This is still one of my favorite memories from Convention.  It is from the Washington DC Convention, 2010.  I hope you enjoy this little fun look at how the corporate staff entertains a room full of consultants.

March Artboard

Oops, I completely forgot to show you the March Artboard for the Stamp of the Month called Potential.  It is a lovely stamp that is also compatable to the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  The layout is my niece Bella, when she was 2 years old.  She will be 10 this summer.  The cards were just ideas that popped into my brain.  I used Pemberly paper for all of the projects shown here.  You have until March 31 to get your hands on this stamp set.  You can order it right from my website.

The stamp fairy has come again...

Tomorrow with be the next mini 8 hour crop.  I am so excited for the ladies to come by and to send the day with them.  When I am preparing for the crop, I think about my ladies that are coming.  I think about the dinner, the technique class, prizes, and the stamp fairy presents.  I think the stamp fairy presents are my favorite part.  I keep them a secret until the day of the event.  Tonight I am going to slip you a peek of the presents.

All three presents

Stamp fairy present #1-magnet frame

Stamp fairy present #2-pillow box with "Dove" chocolates

Stamp fairy present #3-mini purse with petite perk stamp set
The second thing that is my favorite item to create for the crops are the techniques for class.  There have been many techniques that we have learned over the years.  This crop I will be teaching "Thumping" and "Masking".  Two very cool techniques for both card makers and scrapbookers alike.

If you would like to learn these techniques or others call or email me and we can set up a home party or you can join me at the next mini crop for 2 more great techniques.

Scrapbooking marathon

Are you behind in your scrapbooking?  Do you feel you will never catch up?  I have the answer for you!  Join me once a month at the Allen Park Biggby for scrapbook class.  We have so much stinkin' fun and you will get a layout done.  The best part is I do all of the cutting for your supplies.  All you have to do is prepay for class, come the night of class and put your kit together.  We meet on the third Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm.  The class layout is on display at Biggby for a month.  You need to sign up by the Monday of class unless you want to the bling kit.  Then you will need to sign up by the Monday of card class, which is 2 weeks earlier.
The photos that will follow in this post are from last Thursday's Disney class.  Then I will post April and May's classes...both the basic kit and bling kit.
Everyone working on their Disney layouts.

Flowery designs...

I have said lately how much I love my job with Close to My Heart.  They are always looking for the best for their customers and consultants.  The current campaign is when a new consultant signs up they are rewarded with either the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge or $100 in free select product credit.  You get to choose which one you would want with your basic kit.  And the best part is you only have to pay $99 for the kit and your reward.  Which one would you chose?

Today has been a very productive day for crafting.  I finished all of the wedding shower favors, for my cousin Lynn.  I am still working on my gifts for her.  I will have to share those with you after her April 1st. shower.  I am really happy with how they turned out.  I  made 60 pillow boxes from the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge.
I used the retire Sophia stripe on all of the them.  Then made a rose using blush cardstock. Finished off the rose with stardust glitz.  I filled them with tea bags for the adult ladies and the children will have M & M's in theirs.

If you like the roses, I will be teaching a card class on April 5th. at the Allen Park Biggby.  We will be making 2 Bridal shower cards.  One will have the Art Philosophy flowers on it.  You can sign up at the coffee shop or contact me to reserve your spot.

What do you think of the flowery designs?  Please let me know.

Studio J creations...

I received an email from the corporate office at Close to My Heart that one of my layouts that was saved in Studio J would be gone in 14 days.  I thought, which one and that I better go check.  It was a layout I had created awhile ago about some of my favorite art pieces I had created and made a Studio J layout with them.  Then I started to play around in Studio J and before I knew it I had 11 more layouts done.  So I placed my order just a little bit ago for all 12 layouts.  The best part was I received free shipping, 12 page protectors for free also, and free jPEGs of my layouts.  I am going to share with you my layouts that I created in just a few hours.  I sure feel good about getting a little bit caught up on my scrapbooking.

Studio J is a great tool to use when you are behind in your scrapbooking or when you just want to have a fresh idea.  I use Studio J to design some of my layouts before I use the traditional paper and scissors.  If you are interested in giving Studio J a try give me a call and I will help you out.  It truly is fun!!!!!!

Spring Is in the Air: Project Inspiration Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book

These new springs are sooo much fun to use.  They give the best surprise ever, inside your card.  What will you use the springs for, on your next project.

Here is a card I made using "Card Word Puzzle", "My Peeps", and the new springs.  The paper is one of the new packs.  It is called Lucy.  You can get all of them at my website from Close to My heart.

The "Springtime" says is on the spring for the extra little bounce it needs for the greeting.

Now what will you do with these cute little extras?  Please post a comment to let me know.

Hugs, Holly
